Michael has, in the past, worked with the UK Government to raise public awareness of the enhanced anthropogenic greenhouse effect and has published on climate change and other environmental issues (his work on Pacific islands has been referenced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)). Michael is passionate about melding the arts and sciences and has been involved in organising Aboriginal Art exhibitions which have helped raise awareness of Aboriginal land rights in northern Australia. Michael is a highly accomplished Yidaki (didgeridoo) player and is the founding member of Didjitalis. Michael is currently working with The BRAVE Collaboration to champion the importance of visionary thinking around sustainability.

Kyle Maplesden grew up in Canada where his interest in the world's indigenous peoples was sparked by childhood visits to First Nations Reservations in Ontario. An intensive, lifelong study into the art and culture of indigenous tribes ensued with a defined focus on Australia's Aboriginal peoples. Having completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Canada's Queen's University, Kyle's interests in art and indigenous culture were combined when he became the Director of a leading Art Gallery specialising in Aboriginal Art in London's West End. A renowned Yidaki and Mago (didgeridoo) expert, teacher and performer, Kyle has lectured at a number of institutions worldwide. Numerous visits to remote Aboriginal communities have enabled Kyle to further his study into Aboriginal life and custom which, coupled with his business experience, have provided the ideal foundation for IndigeNouse.
